Working with Love4Vets
It is a conversation, not an interrogation. You tell us what is going on — where your claim stands, what feels stuck, and what you are dealing with day to day. We listen, ask questions where something is unclear, and explain what we think your claim may need. By the end you will know what we can help with, what we cannot, and what your next step could look like. There is no obligation to continue.
No. Many veterans reach out before they have gathered anything. Part of the consultation is helping you understand what documentation may be needed, not checking whether you already have it.
No. We are a VA claim consulting firm, not a law firm, and we do not provide legal representation. When legal representation is needed, we point veterans toward an accredited VA claims agent or attorney.
Love4Vets provides VA claim consulting and support. We help Veterans understand their claim situation, medical evidence, rating concerns, denials, DBQ-related questions, and possible next steps. We do not file claims on your behalf.
Fees
No. Your consultation is free, and there are no upfront fees to begin working with us. We will explain exactly how and when fees apply before you agree to anything, and you will never be asked to commit to something you do not understand.
It means our fee depends on the outcome of your claim. If your claim does not result in a favourable decision, you do not pay us for the claim support work. We will put the specific terms in writing before you begin, so you know what applies to your situation.
VA claims
A denial does not always mean your situation is not valid. It often means the VA did not yet have the evidence, documentation, or medical detail it needed to see the connection between your condition and your service. We look at what your denial letter says, what may have been missing, and what options are still open to you — including a supplemental claim, an appeal, or a stronger evidence package. We will tell you honestly what we think can and cannot be strengthened.
Often, yes. Many Veterans receive a rating that does not reflect how much their condition actually affects their daily life. We review how your symptoms are currently documented, where the record may understate your day-to-day impact, and whether an increase is worth pursuing. We do not guarantee any particular rating — no one can — but we can help you understand whether the evidence supports asking for more.
That depends on your conditions and what the VA already has on file. We help you understand what records, evaluations, and documentation may strengthen your claim — and what may be missing from it. A strong claim generally depends on documentation that clearly supports your condition, your symptoms, and how they connect to your service.
We explain how Disability Benefits Questionnaires may fit into the broader claim support process and what they are meant to document, so you understand their role before you encounter one.
A nexus is the connection between a current condition and your military service. Nexus-related documentation is the evidence that supports that connection. We help you understand what that documentation is meant to establish and why a claim may be denied when the connection is not clearly supported, even in cases where the underlying situation is real.
No. We do not guarantee a specific rating, claim approval, or outcome. What we can do is help you understand what may be missing and how to present a stronger claim.
No. We do not guarantee a rating, a claim approval, or any particular outcome. What we do is help you understand what your claim may need, what can be strengthened, and what your next step could look like.
Mental health & recovery
Yes, depending on your situation and where you live. Alongside claim support we can help you understand what mental health and recovery options may fit around your claim. For California Veterans we can also help connect you with trusted support for mental health and recovery when needed.
No. Many veterans reach out before they have started anything. Part of the consultation is working out what support might fit, not checking whether you have already found it.
We connect you with the right support rather than providing treatment ourselves. During your consultation, we help you understand what care may fit your situation and refer you to the providers and programs that deliver it.
No. Disclosing substance use as part of your care does not weaken your claim. VA disability claims are based on documented conditions and their connection to your service, not on whether you have also dealt with substance use. Being open about it with us helps us point you toward support that actually fits your situation.
Our mental health, substance use, and recovery support services are only available to California residents right now. We are working to expand to other states.
Call the Veteran Crisis Line at 988 and press 1 . It is available every day at any hour, and you do not need to be enrolled in VA care to use it. Do not wait on a consultation.
